April 4 Election Endorsements

These are my endorsements for the April 4 elections. Learn more about how to vote here.

In each case, I’ve made endorsement decisions based on commitment to City-County collaboration in solving what I see as our toughest challenges—pollution, housing affordability, and equal opportunity—and to building a truly progressive Madison and Dane County where everyone can thrive.

I have not made an endorsement in every race—I’m one human person, and I’ve only endorsed where I have been able to get to high confidence.

Madison Mayoral: Satya Rhodes-Conway

Madison Aldermanic Districts (overlaps with County District 17 are listed first)

  • District 3: Derek Field

  • District 15: Brad Hinkfuss

  • District 16: Jael Currie

  • District 2: Juliana R. Bennett

  • District 6: Marsha Rummel

  • District 9: Nikki Conklin

  • District 10: Yannette Figueroa Cole

  • District 14: Noah Lieberman

  • District 17: Sabrina Madison (unopposed)

  • District 18: Michelle Ellinger Linley

  • District 20: Matt Phair

Madison Metropolitan School District BOE

  • Seat 7: Nicki Vander Meulen (unopposed)

Zooming out to statewide, the Supreme Court election is critical to two huge issues that are very important to me—statewide fair maps, and overturning our archaic and unjust 1849 abortion ban. With that said:

Supreme Court of Wisconsin: Janet Protasiewicz

And finally—I am not sure how many followers I have in Sheboygan, but I want to give a special shout-out to Kay Robbins, my mother-in-law, who is running for re-election to the Sheboygan school board. A vote for her is a vote for a time-tested commitment to education, inclusion, and celebration of the diversity that comprises that fine city.
