Dane County Board approves more public input on our budgets

Last night, the Dane County Board adopted some rules changes that provide for an additional meeting with public commentary in our annual budget process. This gives you an additional avenue for participation in the process.

I promised the people of District 17 that I would support increased transparency and engagement between the Board and the people we serve, so I was happy to vote in favor of these changes.

Sustainability campus Q&A

Join me on Thursday night (April 21) for a Q&A session about Dane County’s proposed Sustainability Campus, which will ultimately replace our current landfill as it reaches capacity. It will also provide additional services such as goods exchange and composting operations. City staff will provide updates and answer your questions.

The public outreach meeting will be held on Thursday, April 21 from 6:30 – 8:00 pm at the Village of McFarland Municipal Center located at 5915 Milwaukee St, McFarland. The meeting will begin with a poster presentation at 6:30 pm followed by a listening/Q&A session, which can also be accessed online via Zoom, from approximately 7:00 - 8:00 pm.

You can also learn more about the Sustainability Campus here.
