I have heard from a number of District 17 residents with concerns about MMSD’s current food services. This morning I wrote to MMSD Superintendent Dr. Carlton Jenkins to seek clarity on the issue and offer assistance in resolving this critical equity issue.

On June 9, members of the Board of Supervisors sent a letter to our Wisconsin Congressional Delegation urging them to take action to curb gun violence in the United States.

Last week, I joined over 60 Wisconsin elected officials in signing an open letter calling upon local District Attorneys, Sheriffs, and Police Chiefs to stand with us and not use their resources to investigate or prosecute individual health care decisions like accessing abortion care.

Gun violence in the USA is a public health emergency. This week my thoughts are with the people of Buffalo, NY; Laguna Woods, CA; and Uvalde, TX. But as an elected official, my "thoughts" are not enough. Read more in my statement.
